Northeast Utilities’ Penni McLean‐Conner Slated for NCBC 2014 Keynote – Utility executive, author and engineer looks to the future of energy efficient buildings

Portland, ORE, April 16, 2014– The Building Commissioning Association today announced that Penni McLean‐Conner, Chief Customer Officer and Senior Vice President of Northeast Utilities’ Customer Group, will deliver the keynote address at its annual international building industry event, National Conference on Building Commissioning. NCBC 2014 will be held May 19‐21 at the Connecticut Convention Center and Science Museum in Hartford, Connecticut.

Penni is responsible for delivering high quality customer service and a cost‐effective portfolio of electric and gas energy efficiency programs to Northeast Utilities’ 3.5 million electric and gas customers. She serves on the boards of the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE), Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnership (NEEP), and the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE), among others. A registered professional engineer, Penni has over 25 years in the utility business and has authored two books, “Customer Service: Utility Style,” and “Energy Efficiency: Principles and Practices.”

NCBC 2014 connects the people, products and technologies that will advance the future of high performance buildings.  The conference showcases speakers and companies dedicated to improving the efficiency and productivity of the built environment, while onsite exhibits feature companies with products and services that “make it so.”
