Julia Miller Elected MPI President for CT River Valley Chapter, Board of Directors

HARTFORD, CT (Thursday, June 21, 2012) – The Connecticut Convention Center is pleased to have one of its own honored for her leadership role in the community.  Julia Miller, Director of Catering at the Connecticut Convention Center, was recognized at the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Connecticut River Valley Chapter Annual Awards Dinner & 30th Anniversary Celebration on June 12, 2012. 

Julia has been a member of MPI Connecticut River Valley Chapter for four years, serving on the Board of Directors for three years, and now will continue to lead the Board as President for the upcoming 2012-2013 year. 

“Being a part of MPI means having the opportunity to be surrounded by passionate individuals who are dedicated to what they do,” commented Miller.  “It means having the opportunity to tell my story knowing there is someone out there living a similar dream. It also means having the opportunity to give back, to teach those who are wanting to learn and eager to succeed. I am incredibly fortunate to be involved in something I truly love doing,” she added.

 The Connecticut Convention Center extends their congratulations and is proud of this appointment for Julia, as she continues to exemplify excellence in the community.
