Capital Region Development Authority Launches Mike Peters’ Bridge Flag Beautification Program

 

WHAT:  

Capital Region Development Authority and local companies will show their support of the Capital City downtown district by raising their company flags on the Mike Peters’ Bridge as part of a new flag beautification program.

During the ceremony the flags of local companies, including Travelers Insurance Company, The Hartford, UCONN and the Connecticut Convention Center among others, will be raised. The ceremony will also include music from Radio 104.1, an appearance by the Wolfpack’s mascot Sonar and refreshments. The public is invited to attend the ceremony.

In 2001, the Hartford Downtown Entertainment District was simply a concept. Fifteen years later it has become a major activity hub, thriving with entertainment and providing our Capital City with life and culture. A significant aspect that continues to allow this project to flourish is the Mike Peters’ Bridge, connecting various districts together.
