HARTFORD, CT (May 24, 2012) — Nearly 100 associates from the Connecticut Convention Center, Marriott Hartford Downtown, Hilton Hartford, Sheraton Hartford Hotel at Bradley Airport and the Waterford Hotel Group corporate office recently participated in the annual Waterford Group Charitable Foundation Bowl-A-Thon, held at Callahan’s Bowl-O-Rama in Newington. The fun-filled event raised more than $2,300 for the foundation, which seeks to support the communities in which associates of Waterford Group and affiliates live and work. Proceeds from this year’s Bowl-A-Thon will be donated to various charitable organizations in the Hartford community.

“The Bowl-A-Thon is a great way for our associates to join together for a fun event that raises awareness for one of the most important facets of our company,” commented Len Wolman, chairman and CEO of Waterford Group. “I would like to thank all of the teams who participated in this year’s competition for their continued generosity and commitment to the foundation and the charities we support,” added Wolman.

During the Bowl-A-Thon, prizes were given out to those individuals who raised the most donations, as well as trophies for the highest scoring team. With a combined team score of 673 points, the “All Stars” – Steve Bennett, Roger Memhard, Conrad Byfield, and Gene Brownel from the Connecticut Convention Center, were this year’s winning team.
