HARTFORD, CT (March 5, 2014) — Michele Hughes, Director of Sales for the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, CT was honored with the Director of Sales of the Year award during Waterford Hotel Group’s recent Annual Leadership Conference and Awards Celebration, held at the Marriott Hartford Downtown in Hartford, CT. The Convention Center was also recognized during the conference with a Core Value award for customer service.
The 2-day conference, attended by Waterford Hotel Group representatives and 55 managers from properties in the company’s portfolio, provided attendees the opportunity to share ideas, set goals, and foster the team spirit that are the hallmarks of Waterford’s consistently high performing properties. Hughes and the Convention Center team were recognized during awards ceremonies held to recognize the company’s top performers from 2013.

The Connecticut Convention Center is owned by the State of Connecticut and is overseen by the Capital City Economic Development Authority. The center is professionally managed by Waterford Venue Services, an affiliate of Waterford Hotel Group, a leader in the hospitality industry.
